Want to see a Bizantyne fortress on the small island Palacol in a middle of the open sea, stand by the guard of Osor passage made by ancient Romans to secure sea trade lines?
Fortress is made in 6th century, when island was ruled by Byzantine Empire, and legend goes that there was pirates base in dark Middle Ages...
After history lesson, you can spend rest of the day in beauty of blue Jamna bay, with small beach and great view.
But, if you want to continue to an ancient Roman`s trails, you can ride a speedboat all the way northwest to Osor, to see a Roman-made sea passage between Cres and Lošinj, with rotary bridge. Just about one hour ride from a Mali Lošinj port, half hour to Jamna (and less than a hour to Osor passage).
